5 News is the news programme of British broadcaster Channel 5. It is produced by Sky News. From 1 January 2005, Sky News was awarded the contract to provide the news for Five, replacing ITN, which had provided from the channel’s launch in 1997.

The current look launched on 14 February 2011, in line with an overall rebrand for the channel under new owner Richard Desmond.
