BBC considering closing Channel Islands NewsThe BBC has confirmed that it is considering whether or not to continue to provide local television news bulletins in the Channel Islands.

Gordon Burns to leave North West TonightThe BBC has announced that Gordon Burns will be standing down from BBC North West Tonight at the end of September 2011, after almost 15 years of presenting the programme.
